COLLABORATIVE PROJECT
Role responsibilities: post-production, color grading, editing, asset management, screenwriting, production.
This was by-far the production which took me most out of my comfort zone. I portrayed Anna Wintour in an homage to (everyone’s favorite) The Devil Wears Prada scene to promote FashionX’s marquee spring gala, coined La Soiree Cardinale by my Co-President, held at the Cantor Museum.
We wanted to publicize the event as a spoof version of the Met Gala, the likening of which we hoped would establish the sophistication (but also, the impending fun) of La Soiree Cardinale.
My Co-President directed this video with my guidance, and we worked closely with a key grip we had not collaborated with before. The planning was humble and low barrier, but thanks to our strategic production design, was also delightfully high-yield. The reception this video received was incredibly positive, and we enjoyed feedback from viewers that our concept was refreshingly fun and “sticky”.
The inaugural gala was attended by 800+ undergraduate students, many of whom had never set foot in the Cantor Museum before. It acted as an introduction to fine art for many.
