SOLO DELIVERABLE FOR CO-FOUNDED STARTUP

“CUP BUSINESS”

Set of three 4x6” stickers included in each order of a FOOTYTWO product, at no extra cost to customer

In my time as CMO of FORTYTWO CO, an experimental design company I co-founded as a freshman with two Stanford CS majors, we generated over $488,000 in revenue ($166,000 pure profit). These numbers are a direct translation of my marketing strategy, execution, and management.

We ordered 6000pc of my sticker designs and by the time we had fulfilled every order placed by customers for our FOOTYTWO products, we had 0 left.

We also included a B+W version of the stickers in another one of our free add-ons included with each order, a zine that detailed the narrative design behind the FOOTYTWO Capsule, which I co-authored and illustrated. The zine included two-page spreads of spoof magazines covering fictional World Cup matches, spoof articles about the fictional “founders” of FOOTYTWO, and other satirical world-building elements that aimed to elevate our customers’ purchasing experience.

This add-on was just another one of the many that I designed as part of our extensive and high-reward marketing strategy, which prioritized consumer experience over profit.

Like with our NYT cartoons, product box, and other freebies, the stickers received a very positive reception from customers who sent us appreciative messages about how nice it was to see a brand go above-and-beyond with their products.
