‘for the fans’

Promotional Mini-Series Installment

COLLABORATIVE DELIVERABLE FOR CO-FOUNDED STARTUP

In my time as CMO of FORTYTWO CO, an experimental design company I co-founded as a freshman with two Stanford CS majors, we generated over $488,000 in revenue ($166,000 pure profit). These numbers are a direct translation of my marketing strategy, execution, and management.

Role responsibilities: story, set design (extensive), casting, talent management, gaffing assistance, co-production.

We made ‘FOR THE FANS’ as the second installment of a mini-series that aimed to shape the “world” we were trying to build as part of our marketing strategy for our FOOTYTWO Capsule Collection. The goal was to publicize our product with in-video marketing, gain attention online, strengthen brand interest, and bolster sales.

I consulted Brazilian portuguese-speakers to verify my translation of our original English script was colloquially and idiomatically sound, designed assets for room decor on Adobe Illustrator, and spent what could have been -no less- than 10 hours transforming a male friend’s (quite barren) dorm room into a space believably inhabited by a foreign girl in the U.S. The design thinking and process behind this shoot was extensive and ultimately, very rewarding, since I learnt a lot about what it means to set up, properly light, and break down a space that required absolute reset on the same day as the shoot.
